Password Strength Checker – Test Your Password’s Security

Password Strength Checker

Password Strength Checker

Strength: Weak
Time to crack your password: 0 seconds

Review:

Using that password is like locking your front door but leaving the key under the mat—it’s not very secure. Your password is of medium strength because it contains a predictable sequence of characters.

Rest assured, your passwords are never stored, and even if they were, we wouldn’t know who you are!

To use the Password Strength Checker tool, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Password Strength Checker: Open the HTML file in any modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. Enter a Password: In the password input field, type a password you want to check. The tool will immediately start evaluating the strength based on the following criteria:
  • Length of the password
  • Presence of uppercase letters
  • Presence of lowercase letters
  • Inclusion of numbers
  • Inclusion of special characters (like @, #, !, etc.)
  1. Observe the Strength Level:
  • As you type, the Strength display will update in real time to show your password’s rating, ranging from “Very Weak” to “Very Strong.”
  • The color of the strength display will change as well:
    • Red for weak passwords
    • Yellow for medium strength
    • Green for strong passwords
  1. View Estimated Crack Time:
  • Below the strength indicator, you’ll see an estimated time to crack your password, which gives you an idea of its potential security. This time estimate ranges from “Seconds” (easy to crack) to “Years” (very secure).
  1. Adjust Password as Needed:
  • If the password is weak, try adding more complexity (e.g., a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters) to see the strength improve in real-time.
  1. Read the Review Section:
  • For added advice, check the Review section at the bottom of the page, which offers tips for improving password security. It includes a message emphasizing that passwords should be unique and hard to guess.

This tool is helpful for creating stronger passwords by showing immediate feedback, allowing you to make changes until you reach a secure strength level.
